Research Videos
Equine semen under the microscope using the computer assisted semen analysis software SpermVison (Minitube). These are one second clips (30 frams/sec) played repeatedly and the lines you see are the spermatozoa being tracked. Each colour tells me something different. The software will tell me how fast cells move, if they "swim" straight or on a curved path, if they wobble as they move and even the distance they travel in the second that is captured on film.
